1. What process will you use as a learning team to solve the scenario-based problem?
The scenario says to create “learning experiences,” so what do you think about creating a unit?
The process I suggest we use to solve the scenario-based problem is by collaborating through Google site and Google doc, using the course videos, lectures, and readings, and through researching the aspects of designing, implementing, and assessing technology integration/intervention programs.
Kim I think a unit is a great idea.
A unit sounds good to me
2. Who should be a part of the learning team composition?
All of us?
I too feel we all should take part of the learning team composition.

4. What skills will your learning team need to possess to successfully solve this problem?
Experience with students of various needs and at various levels.
The skills the team need to possess to successfully solve the scenario is organizational skills, knowledge of curriculum areas, and expertise in working with classroom teachers.
Be able to differentiate to meet the needs of all students.
Coordinate the different needs of students
5. Which team member has experience with special needs students?
Cathey
I have 10 year experience working with special needs students.
Cathey and Mary
I have been an ARD team member. My son has dyslexia and dysgraphia i helped plan his IEP in elementary school. I was a learning assistant for a college student who was wheelchair bound with Cerebral Palsy for 3 semesters. She had limited use of her extremities so I took notes for her in her classes. I read her assignments to her. I served as her scribe for written projects.
.
6. What will the roles of each team member be in the development, implementation, and assessment of the program?
Development - All members will brainstorm and develop a solution to the scenario.
Implementation -
Assessment -
All members should take part in the development, implementation, and assessment of the program.
Everyone needs to have a role in the program.
I agree everyone should help with development. What does implementation and assessment entail?
7. Who will be responsible for ensuring the technology-based learning activities are research-based?
Fanny or Mary, would one of you like to be responsible for this?
I can do this but I will need someone to check after me so that we’re sure it’s correct. Mary do you want to help me?
Absolutely!
8. What grade level and content area(s) will you address?
The grade level doesn’t matter to me, but I definitely think we should use a core content area. Possibly language arts?
I agree with Language Arts.
I teach language arts so it sounds good to me.
Most of my teaching experience is in preschool and elementary. Language arts is a good core content area no matter what the grade level.
9. What will the learning activities look like?
There should be a variety of activities: hands-on, higher order thinking, group projects, research projects, technology based (student-centered), other ideas?
I also think we could add some type of web 2.0 activity.
I agree with both of you.
I am familiar with adaptable technology for special needs students such as print to voice for seeing impaired students, voice to print for students that are writing impaired, there is also an application that will transform anything written into braille.
10. How will you model examples for the teacher?
We could video ourselves using various technologies, create animations to model, other ideas?
Creating animations to model is an excellent idea. We can also use co-teaching or possibly a sample lesson plan.
I think this is a great idea and even treating it like a flipped classroom.
Video and animation sound good to me
11. How will you assess the effectiveness of the learning activities?
Teacher observation, ticket out, assessments, other ideas?
We could use rubrics as well.
Formative assessment
Rubric with some kind of graph
12. What technology tools will be included in the Google wiki/Web site format your team will use for the final delivery of your scenario solution? Will it include video, documents, and other technology project samples?
I think we should include a variety of technology tools: videos, documents, Web 2.0 tools, other ideas?
I think we could use a powerpoint presentation.
All of it sounds really good, maybe even a prezi instead of powerpoint?
Use some type of adaptive technology for our special needs students
13. Who will publish your work and to which free sites such as TeacherTube, Google Videos, Flickr, or others will be linked back to the Google team wiki/Web site?
Kim will post work to the Google Site and can also upload any work to other free sites.
I agree that Kim would post work to the the Google site.
Kim.
Kim I would be glad to help you!
